I'm in the process of making an installer for VistaXT, it will make it so it will take ownership of the needed files, make a backup of them (eg. imageres.dll > imageres.dll.bak), install the new files then restart explorer. It should be out in a couple of days.

So you thought that VistaXT Final was the final aye? Well I decided that the theme wasn't finished yet so I'm continuing to work on it, the old theme will be called Version 1 and this new version will obviously be called Version 2.

The theme has basically had an entire overhaul in this new version, here's most of the changes:

- Still has the same start button but now with a more defined less transparent taskbar so you can see the button alot better

- COMPLETELY Re-designed start menu, now has a more clean uncluttered look, with the both the lists of programs and shortcuts separated. Now only has slight transparency in the start menu

-COMPLETELY Re-Designed Vista Basic theme, it now looks more like the aero theme so people with lower end hardware won't feel left out

-COMPLETELY Re-Designed Windows borders on the Aero theme, giving a more clean look, and like the rest of the theme has minimal transparency

-Applications on the taskbar no longer have a "button" style look to them, they now have a blue glow under the selected application, and a very light white glow under the un-selected applications

-Brand new background and user image frames on the login screen

-Bugfixes from the old version 1 of the theme

Well here we go again, this feels like a brand new theme compared to version 1 so enjoy!

K i downloaded the zip file.

but how do i install it?

i like it
but the taskbar program highlights look a little off...
and i miss the darkness of the taskbar...
The start menu and everything else looks awesome
